Online Open Discussions

We are back 🤩with a new season of Open discussions… In the 2nd season of O.D we are discussing youth unemploynent. This season will be online, make sure to log in to be part of the discussion. 

Art Exhibition

We are hosting Thabo Lukhele, a phenomenal Swati artist, for our first art exhibition. Come to our premises , will be exhibiting his work weekdays from 9am to 5pm, starting Thursday 24 June till 8 July

Fete de la musique

Come for a live performance of Floewe and join us to discover who else is going to perform on stage ! Gate opens at 1pm and show starts at 2pm. ⚠️ Strict COVID-19 regulations will be applied, RSVP is compulsory.

Women Month Art Exhibition

⚠️ Women’s month event⚠️ Come enjoy our special art exhibition “Gender Equality” that will be going on from the 8th of March to the 31st, Everyday Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 in our premises.


We also organize cooking workshops for you to learn how to prepare delious French specialties. We also have wine tasting events, where you can buy a bottle. 


Every Year in March, Francophone culture are celebrated across the world. The week long festival is open to all with art, dance, music and much much more on the program.

The Francophonie Culture festival celebrates the diversity and richness of the French language and Francophone communities around the world through a series of cultural events.

Our story

The Alliance Française was established in Paris in 1883 by eminent figures of the arts, the sciences, and politics to ensure the influence of the French language and culture around the world.

The Alliance Française de Mbabane-AFM- was created in 1985 it is the language and cultural center of eSwatini and is accredited by the Foundation Alliance Francaise. It cooperates with the Ministries of Education, and several local artists.

AFM belongs to the Southern African network of 20 Alliances and to the world network of 968 Alliances spread out in 136 countries on all five continents.

Our teachers are French, Francophone and Swazi. We run courses for children from 6 years up to adults!
