Our story

The Alliance Française was established in Paris in 1883 by eminent figures of the arts, the sciences, and politics to ensure the influence of the French language and culture around the world.

The Alliance Française de Mbabane-AFM- was created in 1985 it is the language and cultural center of eSwatini and is accredited by the Foundation Alliance Francaise. It cooperates with the Ministries of Education, and several local artists.

AFM belongs to the Southern African network of 20 Alliances and to the world network of 968 Alliances spread out in 136 countries on all five continents.

Our teachers are French, Francophone and Swazi. We run courses for children from 6 years up to adults!
